27th Annual Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade
Dear Participant:
Please join us for our 27th Annual Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade. We want to make this year our best ever!
Plan to celebrate your “Independence Day” with us. Your entry may be elaborate or simple, large or small, clamorous or subdued, but music and marching is encouraged. If you’re imagining a float – by all means build one! Your participation is a great way to promote our community and its services, as well as for you and your family and friends to have a great time – together.
The parade will be on Tuesday, July 4th at 12:00 noon. The line-up will be at the field on U Street, south of Bay Avenue, also known as the “Old Rod Run Field”. Please check in with the field committee member at the south entrance of the field between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. where you will be issued a number and directed to your staging location. Judging will begin promptly at 11:15 a.m., so don’t be late if you want to be considered for a prize.
The parade starts at U Street, then west on Bay Ave., south on Highway 103 to 256th, then east for two more blocks. see parade map
In compliance with county regulations, it is important that nothing be distributed or thrown (i.e. candy, confetti, flyers, etc.) into the street or crowd and that you maintain 30 feet between entries throughout the parade. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you!
